On Wednesday, Salman Khan revealed the date of his Eid release, Sikandar. The film, which was directed by AR Murugadoss, will be released on Sunday, March 30, in theaters.
“See you in theatres worldwide on 30th March! #Sikandar” is what Salman Khan said beside a new poster for the movie.
This is not the first time that a Friday release has been skipped in a Salman Khan picture. On a Sunday that fell on Diwali in 2023, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 was released. Trade analysts, however, questioned the actor’s choice because he lost out on the festival weekend’s potential revenue.
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s first joint project is Sikandar.
The filmmaker was asked if Sikandar will have both exciting action scenes and emotional depth, similar to his well-known Ghajini.
“Yes,” the director said. This movie features significant family themes in addition to being a mainstream production. This is about a husband-wife relationship, whereas Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend romance. It looks at how couples treat one another, how families operate today, and what we could be lacking in our relationships. That will be the movie’s high point.
“Aamir and Asin’s love story was the unexpected aspect in Ghajini, even though it appeared to the public to be a psycho thriller. In a similar vein, the audience will be moved by the love aspect here,” AR Murugadoss continued.
